Yumbrel Sextet
Yumbrel (in Mapudungun: «rainbow in all its splendor») is fusion band from Geneva that mixes contemporary classical music with progressive rock and other styles like Argentinean tango, jazz and classical music.
The piece that gives rise to the band is also called Yumbrel, a conceptual piece that can be described like a "storm of emotions; a fusion of happiness with sadness, anger and ecstasy; fear and melancholy. The main idea is to combine the precision of music notation with the freshness of improvised music.
